Construction of the Smart Industrial Science and Innovation Park Kaposvár will begin in 2024 and will be finished by the end of 2025. Local businesses with capacities and capabilities in R&D tasks, in cooperation with the University of Óbuda, wish to use its research support to have a positive market stimulating effect on the development of the region. The strategy and R&D activities of the Park treat today’s main challenges as a top priority such as military industrial developments, use and storage of alternative energies, environmental protection solutions. It provides an opportunity to help local young people continue their education, it will be able to provide a practical place and help generate new university majors in the listed fields.
