The Collection, Research, Education and Digitalization Center will serve as a base for natural science research. In addition to collection management, systematization and the provision of research services, it will become a leading European center for international basic and applied natural science research, as well as for natural history research into biological and geological diversity. The building will be located in the Science Park of the University of Debrecen, with a total area of nearly 43,000 m². Of this, 17,000 m² will be dedicated to various collection facilities, which will primarily serve storage functions. In addition, library and archival collections, laboratories, workshops and their associated spaces, as well as meeting rooms and lecture halls, will be established.
